After a long long time........................................ Here I am again blogging. Two long years past away with lots of activities at school and home. I became more attached with USIEF, United States India Education Foundation. I was selected a member of the Screening and Selection Committee of ILEP, 2011-2012. It was a great experience interviewing the teachers in the Lincoln room of the American Centre, Kolkata. I also coordinated the the Reciprocal Teacher Exchange Programme in our school. The visiting U.S. science teacher , Mrs. Kathleen Dwyer from MO conducted workshops in my school in the year 2011 during the month of June. The students, teachers, parents administrators were greatly benefitted from this programme. I got associated with the AEIF Project (Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund) funded by the U.S Department of State on Peace Education with our team leader Mrs Indrani Ganguly. We are conducting teachers workshop integrating Peace into lesson plans.

I have reached Kolkata, India on the 23rd of May after participating in the ILEP. It was a great experience. My impression about the U.S and its people have changed altogether. I really miss Bozeman, Montana. I also miss the people of Bozeman , our teachers and MSU staff members. I miss my friends. It's very hot and humid here. I miss the Bozeman weather.

Jing project
Yesterday in our Technology class we downloaded Jing project software. Bill demonstrated how to conduct a tutorial class using the software. It was interesting how we could capture a selected portion of the screen, write instruction, point with the help of arrows at specific tabs on the selected portion of the screen and finally add it to a word document. This way we can make a tutorial and reach quite a large no. of students at the same time. It was real fun capturing the screen. But, back home when I tried to download Jing into my laptop I failed to install the program. I got dissappointed and finally stopped trying. Bill, will you be able to help me out?

We learned about a free web browser seamonkey-project.org. We downloaded seamonkey (mac version). Bill taught us the basics of seamonkey . We were shown how to compose a page, insert pictures, make links and create a webpage. It was very interesting and exciting as well. We also learned about absolute address and relative address and how relative addresses can link up the pages. I wish I could create a webpage like Bill.
